Born in England, Irene studied and practiced medicine and surgery in England. She regularly holidayed in Europe, Greece and in Israel experiencing kibbutz life as a University medical student.
After migrating to Adelaide in 1982 whilst continuing her medical career as a surgeon and then pathologist, she pursued a love for snow skiing, qualifying as a Canadian Alliance level II ski instructor in Whistler, British Columbia.
She and her husband Tony Isaacson moved to South East Queensland for a sea change in 2003.
Her travel experiences span North and South America including the Galapagos Islands, Africa including Kenya, Namibia, Zimbabwe, Botswana and South Africa, Indonesia, Borneo, PNG, Vanuatu, Japan, Fiji, New Zealand, Tahiti and Easter Island.
Irene combines her love for global travel and wildlife with her longtime passion for photography. Although a self confessed enthusiastic amateur, she has expanded her skills to videography and video editing. Her work can be seen on iFototravel and DiveCareDare YouTube channels.
Her other skills include the creation and management of the wordpress websites for DiveCareDare and iFotoTravel.
She is also a regular guest writer for Travel2Next and DiveCareDare.
